Wingnuts Wings Albatros D.Va, one of my favorite WWI aircraft.

I think the Albatros was one of the first models I ever built. A 1950’s plastic kit. Far cry from the Wingnut Wings kits of today. I will find and post more photos of this fantastic kit. Wingnut Wings versions of the Albatros are now out of production. Should they return, buy a few while you can.

Finished with Tamiya X-18 and a light gray dry brush
Finished Mercedes 160 hp engine
Oil paint
Kinda, sorta done… Note, I broke the seat rails and had to use styrene rod.
All ‘out of the box’ except for engine wiring.
My rigging method, with monofilament for strength.
Mono (0.005″), twisted wire ‘eyes’, steel tube sections.
